Purpose of Post:

Cafcass Cymru is a Division of the Health and Social Services group within Welsh Government. It is responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children involved in Family Court proceedings.

The post will support the Digital & ICT Support Manager in overseeing the digital content for Cafcass Cymru, providing advice to Cafcass Cymru staff on the use of digital platforms and providing IShare support.

Reporting to the Digital & ICT Support Manager the post will oversee and update all content on Cafcass Cymru’s intranet pages, creating new pages when necessary and advising the Digital & ICT Support Manager on improvements and answering queries from Cafcass Cymru colleagues.

The post offers significant opportunities to work with Cafcass Cymru staff and digital experts within Welsh Government.

 

Key tasks:

  • To provide comprehensive support and advice to colleagues on the use of Microsoft Teams channels.
  • To oversee and update all content on Cafcass Cymru’s intranet pages, creating new pages when necessary and advising the Digital & ICT Support Manager on improvements and answering queries from Cafcass Cymru colleagues.
  • Provide project support on re- designing the Cafcass Cymru website, liaising with Welsh Government colleagues to ensure that content is updated.
  • To keep updated directories, mailboxes and other information used by staff.
  • To take responsibility for creating new iShare files and providing support to the Digital & ICT Support Manager to manage Cafcass Cymru’s Business File Plan and Objective Connect
  • To arrange and contribute to the weekly Smart Working Sessions for all staff.
  • To provide ad hoc support to Cafcass Cymru in relation to the Case Management System (IRIS)
  • To create training videos to support Cafcass Cymru staff to enable the optimum use of the Case Management System (IRIS)
  • Compliance with information security policies , ensuring that all information is dealt with efficiently and appropriately
  • To contribute to the wider Cafcass Cymru agenda through participation in meetings, conferences and project task and finish groups
  • The post holder may be required to undertake other duties within the team to comply with corporate obligations, e.g. first aider, fire warden etc.
  • To take responsibility for continuing professional development.

Location of post - The office base for this role will be Cardiff or Merthyr Tydfil. However, travel to other office locations throughout Wales may also be required occasionally.

Cafcass Cymru staff are currently working remotely, but in the longer term we will adopt a blended and flexible approach which incorporates both office working and remote working, taking into account business need. Therefore, successful candidates should expect to be required to attend the specified office on a regular basis.
