Purpose of Post:

This is an advertisement for the post of Translation QA and Professional Development Leader in the Translation Service and, as such, requires highly developed specialist Welsh-language skills therefore this advert will be in the Welsh Language only.

Bydd yr ymgeisydd llwyddiannus yn aelod allweddol o Uned Ddatblygu’r Gwasanaeth Cyfieithu. Dyma’r uned sy’n gyfrifol am ddarparu arweiniad a chefnogaeth i’r Gwasanaeth Cyfieithu cyfan – a’r Llywodraeth yn ehangach - ar faterion yn ymwneud ag arddull cyfieithu, terminoleg, sicrhau ansawdd, datblygu sgiliau cyfieithu proffesiynol, a hyrwyddo’r Gwasanaeth fel canolfan ragoriaeth.

Bydd yr Arweinydd Datblygu Proffesiynol a Sicrhau Ansawdd Cyfieithu yn benodol gyfrifol am:

1.    Arwain rhaglen sicrhau ansawdd ar gyfer y gwaith y mae’r Gwasanaeth Cyfieithu yn ei gyfieithu yn fewnol ac yn allanol;

2.    Arwain rhaglen fewnol ar gyfer datblygu sgiliau cyfieithu proffesiynol cyfieithwyr ar bob lefel yn y Gwasanaeth Cyfieithu;

3.    Arwain y gwaith o gysoni arddull y cyfieithiadau a ddarperir gan y Gwasanaeth Cyfieithu;

4.    Denu a datblygu adnodd cyfieithu priodol i’r Gwasanaeth Cyfieithu.

Key tasks:

1.    Arwain rhaglen sicrhau ansawdd ar gyfer y gwaith y bydd y Gwasanaeth Cyfieithu yn ei ddarparu yn fewnol ac yn allanol:

  • cynllunio, amserlennu a rheoli rhaglen o asesiadau ansawdd o'r gwaith a gynhyrchir gan y Gwasanaeth Cyfieithu - yn fewnol ac yn allanol.
  • gwneud yr asesiadau cychwynnol ac, fel y bo’n briodol, hyfforddi uwch-gyfieithwyr i gyfrannu at y swyddogaeth hon, a llunio a chynnal canllawiau clir ar eu cyfer;
  • cyflwyno adroddiadau i uwch-reolwyr ar ganlyniadau'r holl asesiadau sicrhau ansawdd, a gwneud argymhellion ar y camau priodol i'w cymryd yn eu sgil;
  • cyfathrebu â chyflenwyr allanol yn ôl y galw, gan gynnwys darparu adborth ar ganlyniadau’r adolygiadau a'r camau sydd i'w cymryd yn eu sgil;
  • cyflwyno adroddiadau yn ôl y galw i reolwyr y Fframwaith Cyfieithu (sef y Gwasanaeth Caffael Cenedlaethol) a gwneud argymhellion ar y camau priodol i'w cymryd yn eu sgil;
  • sicrhau bod negeseuon pwysig a ddaw i’r amlwg yn sgil y rhaglen asesu ansawdd, yn cael eu rhannu drwy gyfrwng BydTermCymru a/neu gyfryngau priodol eraill, a bod y cyfieithwyr mewnol ac allanol yn rhoi’r penderfyniadau hynny ar waith;
  • hybu a hyrwyddo’r defnydd o dechnolegau cyfieithu, fel systemau cof cyfieithu, er mwyn sicrhau ansawdd gwaith mewnol ac allanol y Gwasanaeth Cyfieithu.

2.    Arwain rhaglen ar gyfer datblygu sgiliau proffesiynol cyfieithwyr ar bob lefel yn y Gwasanaeth Cyfieithu:

  • gan ddefnyddio Fframwaith Datblygu Cyfieithwyr Llywodraeth Cymru yn sail, arwain y gwaith o lunio rhaglen gynefino a datblygu ar gyfer cyfieithwyr dan hyfforddiant er mwyn eu paratoi at ymgeisio am swyddi uwch-gyfieithwyr ymhen cyfnod penodedig;
  • llunio a chyflwyno rhaglen ar gyfer datblygu’r sgiliau proffesiynol y mae eu hangen ar aelodau’r Gwasanaeth er mwyn darparu gwasanaethau o’r radd flaenaf, ee arwain gweithdai iaith a gramadeg, cynnal sesiynau un i un, rhannu cynghorion ac ati;
  • cydlynu’r gwaith o lunio a chynnal set o gymwyseddau proffesiynol ar gyfer y Gwasanaeth Cyfieithu.

3. Arwain y gwaith o osod safon arddull glir ar gyfer gwaith cyfieithu Llywodraeth Cymru:

  • bod yn bwynt cyswllt cyntaf ar gyfer ymholiadau arddull gan gyfieithwyr mewnol ac allanol y Gwasanaeth Cyfieithu;
  • mynd ati’n rhagweithiol i adolygu’r canllawiau arddull presennol gan ddefnyddio deunyddiau cyfeirio safonol yn sail ar gyfer gwaith ymchwil pellach;
  • llunio a rhannu canllawiau a chyngor yn amserol ac yn briodol er mwyn sicrhau cysondeb ar draws cyhoeddiadau’r Llywodraeth.

4. Denu a datblygu adnodd cyfieithu priodol i Wasanaeth Cyfieithu Llywodraeth Cymru:

  • rheoli a chydlynu rhaglen ar gyfer cynnig - mewn ffordd deg ac agored - gyfleoedd profiad gwaith i fyfyrwyr prifysgol;
  • datblygu a rheoli rhaglen ar gyfer cynnig – mewn ffordd deg ac agored – interniaethau cyfieithu i raddedigion;
  • Rheoli’r gwaith o asesu sgiliau cyfieithu fel rhan o brosesau caffael neu recriwtio, gan gynnwys paratoi profion addas, cynnal ac addasu gridiau a chanllawiau asesu, cyfarwyddo a hyfforddi’r aseswyr, a sicrhau cysondeb o fewn prosesau ac ar draws prosesau asesu.

5. Cyffredinol

  • cydweithio’n agos â gweddill aelodau’r Uned Ddatblygu er mwyn sicrhau ei bod yn cynnal ei holl swyddogaethau mewn modd effeithiol ac effeithlon;
  • unrhyw dasg resymol arall ar gais uwch-reolwyr y Gwasanaeth Cyfieithu.
